Thurs Oct  14 Depart JFK for overnight flight to Rome.  Dinner and breakfast served on flight.
Fri Oct  15 Arrive in Rome and transfer to our hotel.  Dinner and overnight
Sat Oct  16

Today we will visit St. Peter’s Basilica, perhaps the largest church in Christianity.  St. Peter’s is     traditionally the burial site of St. Peter and the principal church of the Pope.  We will also visit the  tomb of Pope John Paul II.

Sun Oct  17

Attend the canonization of Mary Mackillop, Brother Andrč Bessette and other four new saints.  

Mon Oct  18

Today we will have to opportunity to visit St. Paul Outside the Walls and other famous sites in Rome.

Tues Oct 19 We will leave Rome and travel to San Giovanni where we will visit the tomb of Padre Pio and the church where Padre Pio spent much of his life. 
Wed Oct 20 We will travel from San Giovanni to Bari, Italy and board the ferry to Patras, Greece.
Thurs Oct 21 Arrive in Patras and board our bus for a visit to Corinth.  After our visit to Corinth we will travel to Athens, Greece.  Dinner and overnight
Fri Oct 22 Today we board the ship for a three night cruise on the Aegean Sea.  We will go for complementary tours to Patmos Island where St. John the apostle wrote the book of Revelation and to Ephesus, Turkey to see the home of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  All other tours will be optional, at your own expense.

Arrive in Athens.  Today we will visit the city of Athens and see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  We will then visit the most historical site in Athens, the Acropolis.  The Parthenon is the most important and characteristic monument of the ancient Greek civilization and still remains its international symbol. It was dedicated to Athena Parthenos, the patron goddess of Athens. It was built between 447 and 438 B.C.  We will be staying overnight on the Olympic Rivera.  

Tues Oct 26 Today we will leave for Medjugorje.  We will overnight in Nis.
Wed Oct 27 Continue travel to Medjugorje arriving in the late afternoon.
Thurs Oct 28

While in Medjugorje our group we will attend the services at St. James Church, climb Apparition 20Hill and Cross Mountain and hear a talk by one of the visionaries (if available).  During the evening prayer services Our Lady gives her blessing to the pilgrims.

After morning Mass leave Medjugorje and travel to Budapest, Hungary.  Dinner and overnight

Mon Nov 1

Leave Budapest and travel to Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II.  You will see the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Sacrifice, where Karol Wojtyla was baptized and served as an altar boy.  You may also visit the family’s apartment, now a museum located just across the street from the church.

Tues Nov 2 We will spend today at the Shrine of Divine Mercy.  We will see the new Basilica and the convent chapel which houses the mortal remains of St. Faustina.  You will have time to walk the lovely grounds around the convent or spend some time in the Basilica or the Adoration Chapel. 
Wed Nov 3 After breakfast we will leave for Jasna Gora and the shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.  We will have Holy Mass at the chapel of the miraculous image.  This chapel has been visited by Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI.  It has also been visited by St. Faustina and St. Maximillian Kolbe.  It is one of the holiest places in Poland.  We will also have a guided tour of the Shrine.  After our tour we will continue on the Olomouc, Czech Republic.  Dinner and overnight
Thurs Nov 4 We will travel to Prague to visit the Infant of Prague Sanctuary located in the Church of Our Lady of Victory.  You will then have time for lunch and short visit in Prague.  Dinner and overnight
Wed Nov 5 Depart for our flight back to the US.
